Top MBA Entrance Exams 2025: How many entrance exams are there for MBA?
MBA entrance exams are held at many levels. Some are national level entrance tests and some are state level. At the same time, many B schools also conduct their own MBA entrance exams. Know which top 15 entrance exams can be given to get admission in MBA-
1- CAT (Common Admission Test): CAT is the most popular management entrance exam in India. CAT i.e. Common Admission Test is held every year. Through this, one can get admission in IIMs located across the country.
2- XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)– It is placed second after CAT. It is organized by XLRI- Xavier School of Management. This exam is held in January. Through this, one can get admission in XLRI and 11 XAMI member institutes.
3- MAT (Management Aptitude Test): MAT exam is organized by AIMA. This MBA entrance exam is held 4 times a year, in February, May, September and December. Its cutoff is different every time.
4- SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude): Symbiosis International University conducts SNAP exam for admission in management courses. This exam is held in December. It has an extra section of General Awareness.
5- GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
Admission is given through GMAT score in more than 2300 business schools across the world. Many management institutes in India also give admission to students through GMAT score.
6- NMAT (Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test): This exam is held every year in October-November for 75 days. Any candidate can give NMAT exam 3 times a year. Admission is given through this in NMIMS, ICFAI, ARM University, BIT University and many other institutes.
7- CMAT (Common Management Admission Test): CMAT is a national level test. It is recognized by AICTE. This exam is held in April. Let us tell you that now this exam has started being held in foreign countries as well.

9- MH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test)/ MH-MBA/MMS-CET- By passing this computer based test, one can get admission in 2 year full time management course of government, private, deemed MBA institutes of Maharashtra. This exam is held for 2 days in March.
10- TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences): It is necessary to pass this exam for admission in full time postgraduate degree program of Tata Institute of Social Sciences. After passing TISSNET exam, it is also necessary to pass TISSMAT exam.
TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test)
11- TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test): This is a state level entrance exam. It is necessary to pass this exam to do MBA from universities located in Tamil Nadu. To take this exam, it is necessary to have 50 percent marks in Bachelors.
12- IBSAT (ICFAI Business Studies Aptitude Test): This computer based management entrance exam is conducted by ICFAI. Admission in ICFAI business school is done through IBSAT, GMAT, CAT and NMAT scores.
13- KMAT (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test): This exam is necessary for admission in AICTE recognized B school located in Karnataka. KMAT exam is conducted in 10 cities of the country. Foreign students can also participate in it.
14- PGCET- Karnataka Examination Authority conducts Karnataka PGCET test. This is a state level entrance exam. For admission in this, it is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute. A total of 100 questions are asked in this exam.
15 – ATMA – This computer based test is also called AIMS Test for Management Admissions. It is conducted 4-5 times a year. Through this, you can get admission in courses like MBA, MMS, PGDM and MCA. Through this, you can get admission in more than 200 top ranking institutes.
