Indian Army Recruitment 2025: In the Employment Newspaper dated 28 December – 03 January, the Directorate General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers of the Indian Army published an important announcement for the recruitment of different Group C Posts. The recruitment is to be made in the electronic and mechanical engineering corps. Candidates can submit their offline applications before or on 17 January 2024.

There are 625 vacancies in total for the following positions: Pharmacist (qualified), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Electricalian (skilled), Engineering Equipment Mechanic (skilled), Fireman (skilled), Tradesman Mate (skilled), Armament Technician (skilled), Fitter (skilled), Draughtsman (grade-II), Stenographer (grade-II), Machinist (skilled), Upholstery.

Indian Army Group C Age Limit

  • General: 18–25 years.
  • Fire Engine Driver: 18–30 years.
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Disabled/Ex-Servicemen will be provided as per Central Government rules.

Group C Educational Qualification 2024

  • Pharmacist: Diploma in Pharmacy (two years) and 10+2 with a minimum of two years. Registration at the State Pharmacy Council.
  • Electrical (Highly-Skilled-I & 2), Telecom Mechanics (Highly-Skilled-II): Pass in 10+2 and a certificate of a recognized Industrial Training Institute for the trade or grade OR Armed Forces personnel or ex-servicemen in the trade with a minimum grade I.
  • Engineering Equipment Mechanics (Highly Skilled – II): 10+2 pass with certificate from an Industrial Training Institute recognised in the motor mechanics trade OR B.Sc. Armed Forces personnel, or ex-servicemen with a minimum grade I in appropriate trades.
  • Vehicle Mechanics (Armoured Combat Vehicles) (Highly Skilled-II) – 10+2 and a Motor Mechanic certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute. OR
  • Armed Forces personnel or ex-servicemen in the appropriate trade with a minimum grade of I.
  • Armament Mechanics (Highly Skilled II):- 10+2 and a certificate in Fitter from an Industrial Training Institute recognized by the Ministry of Defence. OR Armed Forces personnel or ex-servicemen in the appropriate trade with a minimum grade of I.
  • Draughtsman grade II – Matriculation, or equivalent. A three-year diploma in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognized Institute. OR, a two-year diploma certificate of Draughtsmanship Mechanical from a training institute. Three years’ experience in an organization of repute.
  • Stenographer grade II – Pass in 12th or equivalent class from an accredited Board of Education. Skill Test Norms: Dictation at 80w.p.m.; Transcription in English 50mts (on Computer); 65mts (in Hindi)
  • Machinist (Skilled ): ITI certificate in Machinist, Turner, Mil Wright or precision grinder from an Industrial Training Institute recognized by the government. OR Armed Forces personnel in the relevant trade or ex-servicemen with a grade minimum of I
  • Fitter (Skilled), Tin & Coppersmith (Skilled), Upholstery (Skilled), Moulders (Skilled), Welders (Skilled)

Vehicle Mechanics

  • Vehicle Mechanics (Skilled). ITI Certificate from an Industrial Training Institute recognized in the trade or grade. OR Armed Forces personnel or ex-servicemen in the appropriate trade with a minimum grade of I
  • Storekeeper – Passed 12th grade from an accredited Board or University.
  • Lower Division Clerk: Passed 12thclass at a recognized Board of Education or University. Type 35 words per minutes in English or Hindi on a computer.
  • Civilian driver (Ordinary Grade) – Matriculation. Must have a civil driving license for heavy vehicles and at least two years experience driving these vehicles.
  • Fire Engine Drivers – Matriculation or equivalent. Driving license and at least 3 years experience in driving heavy vehicles is required. Ability to do strenuous work and be physically fit

Army Group C Recruitment 2024 : How to Apply

The candidates can send the application in the format prescribed in the advertisement, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope (10.5 cm x25 cm) and a postal stamp of Rs. 5/- in a sealed envelope to the address specified against the position applied for by ORDINARY POST. While sending in the application, candidates are asked to write “APPLICATION TO THE POST OF _” at the top of their envelope.

Indian Army Agniveer Exam Pattern 2025

Authorities are expected to announce the syllabus and exam pattern for the Indian Army Agniveer 2025 along with an official brochure.
