The BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police), F-AR and SSF have all been allocated 46 617 vacancies. The Court has reserved 17 vacancies due to court orders.

Eight candidates will be recommended, but the final outcome of the cases in Court will determine the recommendation. However, the final results have not been released due to court.

The SSC GD Constable examination was held from February 20, 2024 to March 7, 2024 with an extra session on March 30, 2024. Those who pass the written exam are eligible to take the PST/PET.

There were 46,617 total positions available, including 12,076 BSF posts, 13,632 CISF posts, and 9,410 CRPF posts.. There are also 1,926 posts for SSB. 6,287 are for ITBP. 2,990 are for AR.

The Commission does not prepare a waiting list

The Commission does not prepare a waiting list or a reserve list. The SSC GD notification states that the vacancies not filled in the final results and the vacancies arising due to non-joining of selected candidates or other reasons will be carried forward to the next year’s recruitment cycle by the respective user departments (i.e. CAPFs).

In due course, the Commission will upload the detailed marks of the selected and non-selected candidates on its website.
