SBI Trade Finance Officer Recruitment 2025 : SCO (MMGS-II) Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance’s (IIBF) certificate of Forex proficiency (valid until December 31, 2024) is required.
Preferred: Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) or in Trade Finance/International Banking.
The candidate should have at least two years’ experience in trade financing processing, in a supervisory capacity at a Scheduled Commercial Bank (SCBC) or Foreign Bank.
Age Limit
The bank has set age requirements for candidates applying to the position of Trade Finance Officer. As of December 31, 2024, the minimum age requirement for Trade Finance Officers is 23 years. The maximum age limit is 32 years. According to Government of India guidelines, candidates who belong to the reserved categories are eligible for an age relaxation. As per Government of India guidelines, SC/ST and OBC candidates can receive up to five years of age relaxation.
Trade Finance Officer Selection Process
The selection process is divided into two phases: shortlisting, and interview. The bank will review each application to determine which candidates meet the eligibility requirements. Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited to the interview stage. The interview is worth 100 marks. A merit list is created after the interview based on each candidate’s score. If there is a tie in the scores, the older candidate gets a higher ranking.

Application Fees
Candidates in the general, EWS and OBC categories will pay Rs750 as an application fee. Candidates from the SC and ST categories, as well as those with disabilities, are not required to pay any fee. During the application process, you must pay your fee online using Internet Banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI. The fee is not refundable once paid.
