NHM Assam CHO Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility and Criteria

The candidate must have completed a 6 month Certificate Course in Community health (under IGNOU) to be eligible for CHO positions. The candidate’s maximum age should also not exceed 40 years. As per the rules, candidates from reserved categories have been granted a relaxation of age. The age will be calculated using the 1st January 2025.

Recruitment Details

This recruitment will recruit 100 CHO posts. This recruitment will recruit 100 posts of CHO, with 27 reserved for OBC/MOBC and 10 for ST(P), five for ST(H), seven for SC, four for PWD, thirty for women, and two for ex-servicemen.

Educational Requirement: The applicant must have completed a six-month certificate program in community health through IGNOU and earned a GNM or B.Sc. in nursing.

Age Requirement: As on January 1, 2025, candidates must be under 40.

Age Relaxation: The maximum age limit relaxation for each category is listed below.:

# SC/ST: By 5 years .
# OBC/MOBC: By 3 years .
# PWD: By 10 years .

Application Fee: No fee is required to be paid.

The application form must be supplied with the following documents:

i) The marksheet from the most recent qualifying exam (Final Year BSc Nursing/Post Basic BSc Nursing) ii) The provisional or final degree certificate iii) The Assam Nursing Council registration certificate.
iv) A certificate of age proof.
v) A copy of the caste certificate issued by the appropriate government must be attached by candidates applying under the reserved category.
