KTET Exam 2025 : Exam Timing
KTET Exam – The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan will conduct the KTET exam tomorrow, 18 January 2025. Admit cards are already available on the official site. The KTET examination will be held in two shifts on 18/19 January 2025. The first shift is from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. The second shift is from 2:00 PM till 4:30 PM.
The KTET 2025 exam will be held in two shifts on the 18th and 19th of January. Exam schedule:

Exam Day Guidelines for KTET Exam 2025
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility test (KTET) is a state level examination that is conducted every year to determine the eligibility of applicants for teaching positions in Kerala. The test has four categories: Categories 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Arrive early: Candidates should arrive at the test center two hours prior to the scheduled exam time in order to complete security and verification checks.
Entrance gates close 30 minutes before the exam. No latecomers are allowed under any circumstance.
Admission Card: Print out a copy of your KTET admittance card. This is the pass that you will use to enter the examination hall. It is required to enter the exam hall.
Photo ID Proof: Please bring a photo ID that matches your name on your admit card. Accepted IDs are:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Driving License
- Passport
- Passport-Size Photo: Make sure you have a recent passport size photo with you, as this may be requested during the verification process.
- Candidates can reduce stress by following these guidelines and arriving at the test center on time.
What is the Exam pattern?
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility test (KTET), which is divided into 4 categories that correspond to the different teaching levels, has been divided. These four categories include:
- The Lower Primary Category is designed to assess knowledge in child development, language and mathematics, environmental studies, pedagogy, and pedagogical issues.
- The category II for upper primary teachers focuses on social sciences, language, science and pedagogy.
- The category III is designed for high school teachers, with an emphasis on subject matter and general knowledge as well as pedagogy.
- Special Education Teachers will be assessed on their subject-specific knowledge, teaching strategies and special education policies.
Each category contains multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The total number of questions varies between 150 and 180, depending on the category. The test is set to last for 2.5 hours. You can download the Syllabus here.

Minimum Qualifying marks for KTET
Candidates from the General Category must obtain at least 60% while those from SC/ST/OBC need to achieve a minimum 55%. The qualifying marks are listed below:

KTET Exam Pattern 2025
Pareeksha Bhavan in Kerala conducts the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test twice a year to determine whether or not aspirants have the necessary skills to teach at the Lower Primary, Upper Primaries, and High Schools in Kerala. The KTET Category 1 exam is for teachers of lower primary classes who wish to teach grades 1 to 5.
The KTET Category 1 Paper contains 150 Multiple Choice Questions.
The candidates must attempt the test in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
