How Are GATE 2025 Scores Determined?
Following the review of the responses, a candidate’s actual (raw) scores will be taken into account for calculating their GATE 2025 score. The raw scores earned by candidates in various sessions for multi-session papers (subjects) will be transformed into normalised scores for that specific subject. Therefore, based on the qualifying marks, the GATE score 2025 will be calculated using either raw marks (for single-session papers) or normalised marks (for multi-session papers).
GATE Exam Result Normalised Process 2025
The same normalisation procedure will be applied to account for any differences in the question paper difficulty between sessions since the GATE test is administered by authorities in numerous sessions. The basic premise that “in all multi-session GATE 2025 papers, the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same across all the sessions” would serve as the basis for the authorities’ normalisation of the marks.
Given the huge number of candidates participating in multi-session papers in GATE 2025 and the random process used to assign sessions to applicants, this assumption is supported. Authorities will use this information to determine the normalised marks for the multi-session GATE papers 2025, taking into account different normalisation techniques.
