GATE Admit Cards : Today, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee released their GATE 2025 admission cards. The official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in is now available for candidates who have registered to take the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2025. Exam dates for GATE 2025

The GATE 2025 examination will take place over four days: February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exams will be conducted in two shifts: morning (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and afternoon (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). A valid admit card is required for entry into the examination hall.

Exam structure for GATE 2025

General Aptitude (GA), which is a section that appears in all exams, includes topics such as logical reasoning, numerical abilities, and English language ability.

The GATE 2025 syllabus is divided into three sections:

  • General Aptitude (GA):
  • English Language and Comprehension : Grammar, vocabulary and sentence completion.

  • Numerical ability: Arithmetic and algebra. Statistics, probability, and geometry.
  • Core subject: Each subject has a detailed syllabus. Engineering and science disciplines include:
  • Computer Science and Information Technology (Computer Science and Information Technology): Databases, algorithms, data structures, computer network, programming languages etc.
  • Electrical Engineering: electrical circuits, electromagnetics and power systems. Analog and digital electronics. Electrical machines. Control systems.
  • Mechanical Engineering: Manufacturing, fluid mechanics and mechanics of materials.
  • Civil Engineering: Structural and fluid engineering, surveying, environmental, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Chemical Engineering: Process calculation, thermodynamics and mass transfer, chemical reaction engineering etc.
    Biotechnology includes Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioprocess Engineering, Microbiology, and Biochemical Engineering.
    Physics: Modern physics, thermodynamics and modern physics.
    Mathematics: Linear algebra, calculus, differential equations, probability, etc.
