GATE 2025 Exam: Summary

GATE – Important Dates

Nationality
Candidates applying for the GATE 2025 online application must be citizens of India. International candidates may apply for the GATE 2025 examination if they satisfy the specified eligibility criteria. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for admission through GATE 2025, as detailed below. The eligibility criteria will be announced by IIT Kharagpur for those intending to take the GATE exam in 2025:
➤ Candidates must have completed or be in their final or pre-final year of a bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology, or;
➤ Candidates must have completed or be in their final or pre-final year of a postgraduate degree in any relevant science discipline.

Age Limit

The cutoff marks for the GATE 2025 examination will be published following the completion of the exam conducted in online mode. In the interim, candidates are encouraged to review the cutoff marks from the previous year, specifically the GATE 2021 Cut-off marks and the highest scores achieved. There are two categories of cutoff marks: the Qualifying Cut Off and the Admission Cut Off, which are detailed below.
GATE Qualifying Cut-Off: This represents the minimum score required for candidates to pass the examination. Additionally, there is a subject-specific cutoff. The conducting authority will announce the GATE qualifying cutoff.
