According to the official announcement, 608 positions in a variety of categories will be filled for the Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II (IMO Gr.-II) position. Of these, 254 and 178 positions are open to candidates that fall under the Unreserved and OBC categories, respectively. There are 60 openings for the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category, 53 openings for Scheduled Tribes, and 63 openings for Scheduled Castes. In the PwBD (C) and PwBD (D&E) categories, there are 28 and 62 openings, respectively.

Eligibility Criteria for ESIC IMO 2024
Candidates’ nationality, age limit, and level of education will determine their eligibility for ESIC IMO 2024. The candidate must be an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibet, or a Tibetan refugee who entered India prior to January 1, 1962, with the goal of relocating there permanently. Applicants must meet the requirements based on these characteristics in order to be considered for the ESIC IMO Recruitment 2024-25.

The age restrictions for applicants who took the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) in 2022 and 2023, respectively, are covered below for the position of IMO.

For candidates listed under the disclosure list of CMSE 2022, the age limit shall not exceed 35 years as on 26.04.2022The age limit for those candidates who are listed under the Disclosure List of CMSE 2023 shall not exceed 35 years as on 09.05.2023.
Age Relaxation
In accordance with the regulations of the Indian government, candidates who belong to the SC, ST, OBC, ex-servicemen, and other categories will be granted an age relaxation in the upper age limit. According to periodic directives from the Central Government of India, the maximum age limit for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and government employees may also be lowered by up to five years.
Educational Qualification
Apart from licentiate qualifications, a recognized MBBS degree qualification is listed in the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). The requirements listed in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) must also be met by holders of educational credentials listed in Part II of the Third Schedule.
The mandatory rotational internship has been completed. Although they may not have undergone rotational internships, candidates may still apply as long as they have successfully finished the required internship prior to being hired.
