The CMAT examination pattern 2025 has been announced through the National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website and the official CMAT 2025 notice. Paper Pattern – Changes throughout the many years

  • Check out the changes to the CMAT exam pattern and syllabus over time.
  • NTA is believed to have revised the CMAT paper pattern two times over the past two years.
  • In 2021, the innovation and Entrepreneurship section was made an optional paper and allocated another 30 minutes. By 2022, it will be obligatory.
  • The NTA has reduced the number of tests within the sections from 25. But, will be 100 questions split into five sections (each question will be awarded four marks).
  • Based on the CMAT paper format, The CMAT 2025 exam will include five sections with no choices.
  • The CMAT exam is now three hours.
  • There is no deadline for the section on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
  • The Innovation and Entrepreneurship section score is used to calculate the percentile to create the merit list.

CMAT Marking Scheme: Key Points

  • Candidates will need to utilize a computer mouse to answer the question.
  • The answer to 75 to 80 questions is a good attempt.
  • CMAT is a test based on CBT. The candidates aren’t obliged to bring any stationary items in the exam room (apart from a ballpoint pen)
  • A draft worksheet is provided at the CMAT examination Center.
  • When they leave the CMAT exam room, applicants must give the exam’s roughsheet to the person in charge.

CMAT Previous Year Paper Analysis

The CMAT 2025 test was conducted twice. Based on last year’s CMAT analysis of the paper, the test ranged from easy to moderately difficult. It was moderately difficult. The Language Comprehension section had a Reading Comprehension section with four questions. The Verbal sub-section contained 16 questions about Vocabulary, and the Reasoning section contained Grammar. There were 15 non-verbal reasoning questions and five verbal reasoning problems.

In the Quantitative Techniques section of the test, we had five questions about data interpretation and 15 questions based on quantitative techniques using pie charts and tables. See below the section-wise difficulty levels of CMAT:
