In a recent press release, the board firmly rejected these concerns, labelling the claims about paper leaks as “baseless” and asserting that they were designed to instil unnecessary anxiety among students and their families. The board urged parents to advise their children against believing or disseminating false information and recommended that all stakeholders rely solely on official updates from the CBSE website, www.cbse.gov.in, and other verified public sources.

On Monday, the CBSE categorically denied the allegations of paper leaks, stating that such claims are “meant to create unwarranted panic among students and parents.” These misleading assertions suggested that students could obtain the question papers for the 2025 exams. The board reassured the public that it has implemented comprehensive measures. To ensure the fair and orderly conduct of the examinations, which commenced on February 15 and will continue until April 4, 2025. Consequences of Students Spreading Misinformation
As per CBSE’s official regulations, the publication or sharing of exam-related content on social media is considered an offence. Students found guilty of such actions may face severe consequences, including the. Cancellation of their current and subsequent three years of examinations across all subjects. Those who disseminate misleading information will be subject to penalties under the CBSE’s Unfair. Means (UFM) policy and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
