On January 31, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET December Answer Key 2025 for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test December Exam 2024, which took place from January 3rd to January 26.
The UGC NET Question Paper with Recorded Responses and the answer key have been made available by the commission. Until February 3, 2025, candidates who have any objections to the provisional answer key may submit them by paying Rs. 200 for each question.

Steps to Download UGC NET Answer Key and Raise Objection Process
- Check out UGC NTA’s official website at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Tap on the “Click Here to Answer Key challenge” hyperlink.
- Enter your date of birth and application number, then your security PIN as it appears, and finally click “Submit.”
- For marked responses, click “View Question Paper.” To read or challenge the answer keys, click “Click to view /Challenge Answer Key.”
- Question IDs will appear in sequential order.
- The proper Answer Key that NTA should use is indicated by the ID next to the question in the “Correct Option(s)” column. The indicated dropped questions are not for challenge.
- You can use any one or more of the choice IDs shown in the next four columns by checking the box if you want to contest this choice.
- Click the option of your choice, then scroll down to “Save your Claims” and go to the following screen.
- A list of every Option ID you have contested will be shown to you.
- You have the option to upload supporting documents by selecting “Choose File” and uploading them all into a single PDF file.
- Click “Save your Claims and pay fee.” You can also click “Modify your Claims” if you want to change the claims.
- Once the claims have been saved, a screen with your challenges will appear.
- Please click “Pay Fee” to make the payment. Once the necessary fee has been successfully paid, the claims will finally be saved.
- Choose your payment method and pay the charge of Rs. 200 for each contested question. You can pay the fee by using these channels, a debit card, credit card, or net banking to pay the fee.

Raise an objection
Candidates who discovered any errors in the answer sheet have the chance to object to the answer key through the University Grant Commission NET. Oppositions may be submitted by candidates between January 31, 2025, and February 3, 2025 (11:50 p.m.). In order to refute the undesirable response, candidates will need to submit the appropriate evidence. For each objection, a fee of Rs. 200 must be paid, which will be made online.
