NEET PG 2024 Counselling : The Medical Counselling Committee has announced 24,314 vacancies in NEET PG Round 3 2024. Interested and eligible candidates may register for NEET PG Round 3 at the official website mcc.nic.in by 12 noon today, January 15, 2025.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling: Round 3 Seat Matrix

The MCC announced 15,902 virtual seats for Round 3 NEET PG counselling. Virtual vacancies are seats that were allocated in Round 2 but have been temporarily left vacant by candidates who updated or vacated them.

There are 8,313 vacancies that were not filled in the previous round. Ninety-nine additional seats have also been added to Round 3 counselling. These seats include those in medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh (including Bihar), Gujarat, Jharkhand (including Karnataka), Kerala (including Madhya Pradesh), Maharashtra (including Madhya Pradesh), Punjab, Odisha and Puducherry in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

The Committee also revised the NEET PG Counselling Schedule due to a decrease in cut-offs. This allowed more applicants to participate in the admission process. The cut-offs have been lowered in order to avoid PG seats at medical colleges remaining vacant.

Candidates belonging to the General Category/EWS will be eligible for counselling if they achieve a 15 percentile or higher. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories can take part in counselling if they achieve a 10 percentile.

Roud 3 Counselling Schedule

Candidates can register for the NEET PG round 3 at mcc.nic.in by 12 noon on January 15, 2025, and choose their preferences by 8 am on January 16, 2025. Candidates who secure seats in Round 3 of counselling will need to report to their allotted colleges between January 18, 2025 and January 25, 2025. The MCC and institutes will share data from January 27-28, 2025.

Today, the Medical Counselling Committee will complete the Registration for NEET PG-2024 202415 January 2025. The online application form is available on the official website for students who wish to register for counseling registration based upon the National Eligibility cument Entrance Test (Postgraduate) for admission into PG medical programs. The link for NEET PG registration 2024 is now active at mcc.nic.in.

Students must be aware that payment of the registration fees is compulsory for all participants. The link for fee payment is active until 3 PM today. The students who have been reduced in NEET PG percentile and are eligible to participate to the counselling process are advised to register as soon as possible. They should not wait until the Last date for NEET-PG 2024 registration.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling

Students in the category and EWS will be able to take part in the counseling if they score 15 percentile or higher. Students belonging to SC/ST, OBC/PwD and SC/ST categories must score at least 10 percentile to be eligible for NEET-PG counselling.

The NEET-PG cutoff percentile for students in unreserved categories was 50th, while it was 45th among PwDs and 40th among reserved categories.

The qualifying percentile for NEET PG was reduced to zero in all categories last year. In 2022, the NEET PG qualifying percentile for general category candidates dropped from 50th to 35th. The NEET PG cut-off for general category candidates has been reduced from the 50th percentile to 35th in 2022.
