The Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning section contains 26 questions based on verbal abilities, reading comprehension and logical thinking. The VALR section includes critical & analytic reasoning, vocabulary, English grammar and reading comprehension (including passages & poems).

The VALR section of the XAT exam 2025 was easier than the previous year. This section was relatively easy for most students to manage, with 26 questions. Reading Comprehension consisted of 4 passages, each with 4 questions.

XAT 2025 DM Analyses

This section contains 21 questions from the Decision Making (DM) section. This time, the DM section was of a moderate-to-difficulty level. This section tested critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and prioritization in order to make informed choices. This section was difficult for some students. This section was moderately difficult.

XAT 2025 QADI Analyses

The Quantitative Acuity and Data Interpretation section (QADI) contains 28 questions. This section asked questions based on a solid foundation of math, including arithmetic and algebra. The questions in DI are based on interpretation, summarisation and analytic analysis of data. This section had some difficult and long questions.

XAT 2025 GK Analyses

General Knowledge (GK), which is a 20-question section, has been divided into two sections. The General Knowledge (GK) section contains 20 questions. Around 8 of them are static GK questions, and the other 12 questions are current affairs questions. This section is moderately difficult.

XAT 2025 Number Of Good Attempts

According to the feedback of test-takers and the analysis of experts, the number of good efforts for a decent mark and good percentile marks is 50 to 55 attempts with 10% accuracy. For VALR (which was a relatively simple section), a good attempt would be 13-15 questions. The number of good attempts in DM would be 10 to 12 of the 22 total. In the QADI section, a good effort would be 12 to 14 questions.
