GITAM-HBS and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) signed a memorandum of understanding at the GITAM HBS Campus recently, a statement said on Tuesday, Dr. Y. Lakshman Kumar, Dean and Director of GITAM-HBS and Ajay Lalwani, Country head of CIMA, represented the organizations. Dr. YLK said the employability of graduates in India is only 7%, the primary reasons for these are outdated curriculum, no value addition to existing courses, outdated pedagogical methods and untrained faculty. To address these issues, we are launching BBA with CIMA.
Dr. YLK added, A+ Category GITAM University’s Hyderabad Business School launching this program immensely benefit students to become a management accountant professional while pursuing the BBA degree at GITAM HBS. This way Students will get exempt for 9 papers (As the program is integrated with BBA curriculum), best retrained faculty, with modern pedagogical methods, will help the students to get international certification which will add wings to their global career aspirations..
