Dr. Chandra Sekhar received his masters degree in English from the University of Hyderabad and M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Before he joined GITAM University, he had taught at a reputed college of engineering in Hyderabad, and at the Bhagirathi Valley School (a KFI school), Uttarkashi. His research interests include Theatre/Cultural Studies, Literary Criticism & Theory and Indian Literature in Translation. Dr Chandra Sekhar translated and adopted several plays and political essays. He also served as Communications Coordinator in the voluntary sector especially in the areas of tribal and minorities’ development for a decade. He edited eco-ethic a newsletter of Indian Network on Ethics and Climate Change and Mannem Lo (In the tribal habitat), a magazine on the issues and culture of Adivasis.
Dr Chandra Sekhar is an experienced trainer in Communication Skills. He currently teaches Written Analysis and Communication, Business and Managerial Communication, and Soft Skills.
